She shook her head ruefully.
Her voice went uncannily polite. "Thank you for the tour, Kohaku. I am sure I can make my own way from here, as can my men."
She lifted her hand and placed her mask back across her face, the smeared prints of the wolf's blood that had dripped across her hand blocking some of the shimmer of its surface.
Her voice came from everywhere and nowhere as the woman began to fade from sight and senses. "Spread out" she said, "and find it."
Then, there was simply wind, water, and the glow of the lake. She seemed to be gone.
