The black wolf seemed to be to interested in cleaning her own wound, then paying attention to the two males at the moment. Her blue orbs closed so nothing could be seen, on her ebony bodice but the eery glowing of the symbols on her forehead. She paused, mid lick. Her tongue against her fur.. her eyes seemed to open slowly at these words. The she wolf stood up, and when she moved her body up, she was in her humanoid form.
She stared to him, questioningly. She rolled her shoulders back, causing the blood to drip out of her shoulder, and slip down her arms. She seemed to stare at him with a cold hard gaze. Her eyes narrowing, as if sensing this to be some sort of sick joke...nothing. Her lips formed into a thin grin, and she laughed softly. This could not get any worst. ”Well..I wouldn’t expect help from you...” she laughed softly.. Then paused. She glanced towards the male. ”Oi, what are you going to do?” she asked him.
Before glancing to the Kohaku.”It’s only fair I give you a warning also. If you come after me..you might run into a man stronger then all of your syblings combined. I forget his name..I just know his scent. His blades...long silver hair.” she murmured the last part, her eyes closing again. ”Markings covered his face. Oakums best hunter.” she murmured to herself.
”Oakum wants me dead, and Darcia wants me alive.Ohoho.”

Well he’d certainly stumbled into some straight-faced, serious stuff didn’t he? Barely able to follow what was going on, he had a feeling that just meant he had no idea what they were talking about at all. Sighing at his own ignorance, he brushed a chair off before collapsing into it. “Darcia…” bounties placed on animals were nothing new, but to place a bounty on one specific animal was…
To think that just yesterday his biggest concern was stealing some painting wrapped in a few flimsy pieces of wood and now he was just hearing all kinds of crazy crap. Terran’s human form appeared to be leaning head on fist, eyes closed in thought.
This stuff… it all sounded ridiculous enough to be something entirely made up. Entirely fictional. However he didn’t feel that it was. After all, why would two complete strangers have any reason to lie to him to this degree? Sure he’d made a lot of enemies, but if there was one thing he had down, it was how to hide from them… even if he had made a ridiculously flashy scene just a little while ago. Cough.
As mouthy as he usually was, he had no idea what to say, except, “Hunh…”
Opening his eyes, he looked around and scratched his cheek with merely an index finger, “I gotta say,” his eyes darted around the room, as if he could find something to say by looking for it, “Nice curtains.”

Adam sighed as he leaned back against one of the walls. “I help you because Darcia is rather sick in the head. He’ll torture you in ways your mind could not comprehend. I have seen his work firsthand and sometimes I wish my brother, sister, and I had not rescued him from the wolves. He is kind when he so desires, but as of late he has no such desires.”
The wolf hunter could not go after this black wolf without giving her a heads up. He felt guilty now that he had been ordered to retrieve her. She had spared him death the last encounter, and there was a want to help her now. Very few people in his lifetime had taken the time to help, Adam, and even fewer animals had helped or spared him.
Dark blue eyes flashed over to the other beasts. He was ignorant to the situation which was obvious. This creature did not understand the severity of the situation. Wolves affected all animals.
“This is important to you, too, beast,” the long haired Kohaku stated. “If Darcia gets his hands on this particular wolf your future will be greatly affected. They say the power lies within the maidens and the wolves. If Darcia gets a hold of this one, maybe he can rip open Paradise for himself. Perhaps the rest of us would be left to damnation. Either way, you can stare at those ugly curtains or you can listen intently to what you are being told. If I was you, I would get the rest of my fellow beasts to be protecting these wolves.”
Advice. Why was Adam opening his mouth so wide? He had no reason to be helping these beasts go after whatever they thought was out there. He had nothing to gain from Paradise if it existed. He was human and ultimately he’d be damned to death one way or another.
His eyes moved back to the wolf. Oakum’s nobles. He knew a few of them. He knew names mostly, but he had had run-ins with some of his nobles. This hunter the wolf talked about; Adam knew of him. He knew the name.
“Well, Darcia gave us our orders, and we will serve him to the best of our abilities. Osyrhysse Ayumu does not scare me nor does he scare my siblings. My blades can handle his. Trust me, you should be more worried about Kaine under these circumstances.”

The woman paused, and she glanced to the door ways, before looking to the man, turning her back on the kohaku. He wouldn’t get use to it, in fact she was ready for the sneak attack to happen. But she doubted he would warn her and then suddenly just go beserk on her. She also questioned if Adam was just as strong as Osryhysse. She paused, her eyes widening.
That name
Her fingers twitched, as they curled up against her pants. She closed her eyes. As a memory decorated her mind. The young girl, with flowing black hair as wild as a mane seemed to dance around her, in the liquid like tank that seemed to shimmer silver, looking the same tone as her bodice. Bandages had been plastered around the girl who seemed to float in the tank. Golden eyes stared through it. “Lord Osyryhysse, is she ready?” a voice echoed. “Do it.” the voice replied, as the markings were being placed on the young girl.
Her eyes snapped open, as she walked to wards the windows, ripping off the curtains. ”Thank you Adam, next time...i know our meeting will not be as peaceful.” she spoke as she gripped her shoulder. ”I guess you have an option here Mr.Grant. You can walk away now, and stay out of trouble. Or follow it?” she spoke, looking to him as her eyes shimmered over blue as she stared to him, a grin on her face.

God, what a douche.
Terran was having enough trouble following the conversation as it was and now someone who was probably only a fraction of his age was telling him what to do? He sighed.
“FYI, I was listening. Please, pardon my inability to follow a conspiracy that speaks of Armageddon.” Damn, he felt like they kept looking to him for him to give them an answer of some kind, but what did they expect him to say when he didn’t even really know what they were talking about?
From the sound of things following along with this conspiracy would get him an unmarked grave in some wasteland (frozen or otherwise) somewhere. Left to damnation? What on Earth was that supposed to mean? Left to rot in some city somewhere? Doomed to eventually die? Oh, lord forbid he be damned to fate that already awaited him.
Hearing all this just made him want to yawn. Though, anyone looking at his face would have seen the gears turning; he was thinking.
If he lived through this he’d have a good laugh. If he lived through this he might run into something valuable along the way. If he lived through this he’d get some life experience out of it if nothing else, some life experience he could use in his next huge job. It wasn’t like he didn’t risk his life on an almost daily or weekly basis anyway, given the types he associated with.
There was also the possibility he might die though… And so what if he did? He was going to die eventually anyway. Everyone dies eventually, and whatever paradise they were talking about wasn’t likely to stop that from happening.
And here he was with a decision before him. He could go home and pick up where he left off and be just fine for the rest of his life… After all, there was nothing wrong with living like a human, and there was nothing wrong with dying like one either. Or he could tag along, get some thrills and chills out of this and maybe get something valuable along the way. This would mean going against Darcia and the other nobles (if this wasn’t just a gathering of lunatics), but so what? He couldn’t stand the upper-class anyway, and he made sure to steal from them and rob them blind whenever he got the chance.
But you know what? Screw it. He didn’t have any good reason to turn them down. “I accept the job offer. I'll come along.” He did steal from the upper class, why not lift a sense of accomplishment from that walking pomp and circumstance this world called one of its rulers? Why not teach him that he was nothing more than just another man and just as fallible as the rest of the world, and that all of the walls, stones, mortar, steel, castles and cities in the world wouldn’t stop him from being beaten by your average Joe.

“Well, it seems I have fed this fire enough,” Adam remarked. What had he done? Added fuel to the already blazing fire? He was lending a hand to these animals, why? So he could simply go to bed at night with a little less guilt upon his being. He had gotten the wolf into this mess and now he was helping her out in this small way.
If Darcia would find out about this… Well, what if he had found out? Maybe he would have given Adam a strong warning. The Kohaku could take whatever abuse was to come his way. He had lived in the streets and dealt with the abuses of everyday life. He was not too intimidated by this noble just yet.
“I insist that you catch your breath here for a bit,” the hunter said to the wolf. “No hunters will be looking for you here. Consider this as a head start. You deserve sometime before we give chase. But now it’s time for me to make my leave. I hate this city with such a passion, and my responsibilities lie away from here.”
They could stay there if they would like, but now was time for Adam to leave. He already reeked of animal, and if his brother would see his current state, Adam was sure a few sly remarks would be sent his way.
The long haired hunter made his way passed the animals, sleeping through the doorway and out of the apartment.

The she wolf stared to the male, her black eyes shimmering blue. ”I am not a paradise wolf...” she began once the door was closed, and she leaned against the window. ”But I smelled Paradise before... twice...maybe I was born there..maybe my mother was one, but that one whiff of paradise when she freed me... I guess that’s why I have this attitude.” she began. Maybe it had been because she hadn’t been in an enclosed enviroment with another of her kind in a while.
Maybe because deep down inside she realized this was a pack, although two or them..she had a feeling more would join. She didn’t know, and really she didn’t know about the first sentence. She let out a sigh of release, and too be honest he had just seen calm sweep over her bodice, no sarcasm or witty remarks, no growl or laughter. She just seemed at peace. Beep,beep...beep. “Sir, the operation was a success..” “good” her eyes snapped open, had she fallen asleep. She felt a sickening feeling at the pit of her stomach. She had become sick with shame. No one had known her past. Except her, it was still a shame. She let out another sigh.
”You know...this could be a death wish..you joining me. For all you know, I could be crazy.” she spoke, it was clear she was trying to hold back a snicker...but she still did, a crescent moon grin appearing on her face. Her palm covering her face, as she tilted her head back against the corner of the wall. ”So what about you Thief boy?” she asked, turning to face him, the lighting in the room seemed to shade over her face, and cause her eyes to shimmer silver from the glare of whatever little light there way, with a hint of blue in it.

(It's crappy, but it's all I could really think of =/ )
“What about me?” He looked to the other animal, a confused expression on his face. “I believe I already gave my answer on just what I was going to do.”
The man took that moment to stand and stretch his arms and legs (the individual’s canine form doing much the same). Terran glanced behind him at the door, making sure the hunter was gone, still shocked that the situation ended in such a smooth manner. Or had it?
That brown pair of eyes stared at the door for a good two or three minutes, making sure it wasn’t going to open again for that other individual to burst in and say “Haha just kidding,” and then kill the both of them. There were a few questions he could have asked at the moment, but instead he decided to reintroduce himself.
“I guess this means we’ll either become best friends or bitter members of the same family,” should he have said ‘pack’? “At least until this trip’s over or one of us dies anyway. The name’s Terran Grant of course, call me Terran rather than Thief Boy, please. What should I call you?”
And while he was on the subject of asking questions, “And what should we do now?” He figured that might have been awkward for her, the senior individual asking the younger for direction, but the truth was, this was her quest and he was just tagging along, the only one who would even have an idea of what to do would be her.

The woman smirked, but inside she was smiling. Maybe destiny brought them to this, the thief and the die hard maybe they were both destined to go to paradise. But she knew one thing, she wasn’t going to let any death rest on her head, but her own. He would be in the safe hands of the danger searching she wolf.
She glanced out side, as she saw the hunter leaving, walking down the street without a care. He had risked his life, to warn her. She knew of darcia... if he found out..he wouldn’t allow it. They had been a pack, although she had prefered to leave, right now, she didn’t know if the old man was capable of keeping up with her, but then again who was she to judge? No one would expect her to be a fighter, and to go even farther no one would expect either of them of wolves, except the really trained eye.
”The word your trying to find is pack members.” even though it was clear he was older, it would seem the status of her stature in the pack was high...well there was only two of them, then. She looks down, and let out a sigh. ”We have to go.” she spoke, before walking to the door. She paused and glanced to him, before her lips twitching into a smile. ”The names Sythe.” she spoke opening the door and walking out, before turning to glance to him. ”Keep up okay, Terran-san?” she spoke, and as if there was never blood, she was in her wolf form, she didn’t want to show the flinch in her walk, as she stood there, black fur hiding the red.
A few drips of blood hit the ground. She started off, slowly so Terran knew where to follow.
