Waya sat on a roof top. Why? Well it wasn't like he had anything else to do but people watch in this place. It's a good thing he liked to do it. He could, and often did, spend hours and hours on end just watching the various characters in the streets doing people things. Being too busy to notice the filth and depravity around them. Well some did, those were the people he liked to watch the most. Were the type to help people and make their environment better, or perhaps they were the type to manipulate the ones around them and take advantage of it? Personally he preferred the ones who helped others, even if it was just to make another person smile. Though truth be told he did kinda admire the some of the other ones ingenuity and ability to think on their feet.
Currently he was following from the rooftop a red headed girl with a blue dress on. He had been seeing her long enough to know the schedule. She would roam the allies looking for strays and homeless to feed in her little adventures from her upscale apartment. He liked her, she was friendly and sweet. once he got a whole sausage from her. The spicy kind!

People moving, that was the sound. The city was alive, and people were moving about, doing what they needed to. Children ran about, playing and laughing. Workers moved about, calling to people on the streets and making sales. A dog was barking somewhere at passersby who paid him no attention. A cat leapt after a mouse, almost snagging the little creature, but the rodent got away in a pile of boxes.
How many sounds could one place hold? Millions. This city was alive, and it reminded Mina of her acquired home in Emerald City. Sionomed Divinos was nothing like the city the wolf had grown up in, however. The city held beauty instead of corruption and filth. This was a place where a wolf could blend in and not be found.
The tall silver headed female wolf moved through the streets. She took no care in those who brushed up against her. Deep brown eyes gave no glances to those who were rude. She cared nothing for human mannerisms, so Mina continued to keep to herself as she walked in the streets of Sionomed Divinos.
Black slip on shoes stopped in their trails as a familiar scent went through the female wolf’s nose. There was another wolf in the area. She could smell it. Her nose led her eyes upward as she searched for the other wolf. The other was still somewhere around here.

Waya made his way down the fire escape as soon as he found a suitable place. He couldn't afford to lose his free meal after all. That would mean dumpster diving and he hated that. It took forever to get the scent out of his fur, and to top it all off he had that whole super sensitive lupine nose thing going for him. That made the smell thing worse.
The lupine creatures toenails clicked and clinked on the metal as he descended and made his way down to the dark alleys below. He winded down to the last part of the all and jumped off onto a pile of crates and down to the ground below. He carefully positioned himself to look like he had been sleeping in the alley as the girl with the red hair made her way in the alley.
"Mr. Goldy!" she said in surprise as he mimed waking up. Stretching and yawning and all that stuff. It wasn't his name but he played along for her benefit. I mean, after all, it wasn't like he wouldn't be getting anything in return. He'd be getting meat, sweet, delicious meat. He could smell it in her bag.
"I bet you're hungry huh boy!" Waya just barked in confirmation. She dug in here bag and pulled out a hamburger patty."Here you go boy!" he said. Waya gobbled it up as the girl petted.

The scent was moving away from Mina. Her nose twitched a bit as she slowly discovered which direction this new wolf was headed in. With the smell of the other wolf found, the light human appearing girl made her way through the crowds. Gracefully she weaved in and out of groups of people. This other wolf was making its way down from the rooftops. It was as if Mina could simply sense the other animal.
An ear twitched. She could hear the creaking of crates as something landed upon them. The other wolf was down on the ground. With swift steps, Mina soon came upon the other wolf. The creature was male, young, and an actor? Right before her eyes, Mina watched as the male wolf “woke” in front of a human girl. The girl gave the wolf a piece of meat right from her hand. Perhaps he was not really a wolf but a mere dog.
“Maybe I was mistaken,” Mina said softly to herself, her arms crossing over her chest. Her deep brown eyes fixed upon the other wolf for a long moment before her feet reanimated and continued to walk down the street.

Sahoni wagged until the the girl left. Onces she was out of sight, Sahoni dropped the act and let out a sigh of relief. He hated acting like that, but survival was survival and he did what he had to.
Where the smallish greyish-black and white wolf one sat was now where a dirty and disheveled Native American boy, last bit of meat hanging from his mouth as he let out a a tiny growl to scare away some approaching birds. His was a face that said, "If you don't back off I'll teach you how" all with the eyes.
Sitting cross-legged he ate his meat. He sniffed the air to check for any nearby threats when he smelled something he never smelled before. Something that smelled like him. Was it possible? He had always had a vague idea who and what he was. She made it known to him through the stories she told. Hell, even his name meant wolf. Whatever it was it smelled kinda like him and he had so investigate it.
He rolled backwards onto his feet and sniffed the air as he walked, earing his strange looks rom his "Fellow humans". He had to find it.

The female wolf made her way through the city. She ignored the looks that were being casted upon her by some of the humans. She cared nothing about what they thought of her. Her business was her own, and humans needed to learn how to understand that. She was a wolf who did not trust any of these humans in the least.
A park was just up ahead, and with her swift steps Mina was soon walking along one of the park trails. The trees were in bloom with lushes green leaves. The flowers flashed bright yellows, reds, and pinks. There was a bit of tamed nature here in this city. The female wolf enjoyed going through these rare parks. They reminded her of the vast wild outside of the cities. In her human form, she felt out of place around trees and bushes.
Mina sat down upon one of the park benches. Where was that beautiful scent she had been tracking? The air still held that maddening scent she, or more so all wolves, was after. Sinomed Divinos had been but a pit stop. Soon, Mina would be back on her journey.

Sahoni made his way through the city. Nose to the wind he hunted it down through the hustle and bustle of the city. He HAD to find that smell. He had decided firmly on this position. Nothing more than the promise of food would make the hard headed wolf from chasing down his objective. Food was pretty much first priority no matter what was going on, be it parade or dragon attack in his book. It was that very thought that crossed his ming and he started to list the difference in his head between various cultures versions of this near universal myth and symbol, like frogs or universal floods.
When he reached the park it became a bit harder to track the scent of the thing that smelled a bit like himself.. The closer he got to the center the stronger the scent got. No pretty pink flower could mask that scent anymore. The boy nose eventually found it. He sniffed all over the silvery woman before hopping in a crouched position onto the bench where she sat, his face about a foot from hers. "H-hey you! Why do smell like me? What are you?" he asked sniffing more and smiling a big goofy smiled.

Mina was rather startled when someone hopped upon the bench next to her. The male wolf from before was now in her face, asking questions of her that had obvious answers. Where all younger wolves like this? It seemed that every younger wolf she had come upon were noisy little creatures who threw caution to the wind to ask her tons of questions. Had they all never seen another wolf before? Odd.
“Hello, there,” came Mina’s soft voice as she looked at the other wolf with a raised silvery eyebrow. “I thought it was obvious what I am. All the birds and the cats around here call out to me by what I am. It is strange that you cannot just see what I am.”
The female wolf was rather careful to not change into a wolf out in the open. There seemed to always be hunters about, and she was rather fearful of being caught in her natural form in such circumstances. The city was no place for a wolf to be when she is being hunted down. There were too many dead ends in cities, and dead ends could be deadlier than they sound.
“I am what you are, unless you are some sort of dog who takes handouts from little girls.”

Obvious? How could it be obvious? He was rare enough as it was, was it so hard to believe that it there had to be another reason for the familiar scent other than her being what he is. But on the other hand, erm, paw, There was that scent. But t the same time it mad no logical sense that he was the only one. Odds had there was another wolf somewhere...right? This was all just so new and confusing to him. As such he rubbed his head and plopped firmly on his butt with a tired grumble at the whole situation. She was right the animals were all signaling a predator, but he had just assumed they were talking about him.
He continued to sniff close on the female wolf with a big goofy grin on his face. When she mentioned the girl that fed him, he just grunted at her in dismay. "It is anything to survive out here. So if that means I have to play along with a stupid act to not die I'm going to do it. Plus it makes her feel good and from interacting with the more dangerous thing in this city."

A snort of laughter came from the female wolf now as she shook her head at the male wolf’s words. She had survived in one of the worst cities in this world. Sinomed Divinos City did not compare to Ángeles Caídosse City in the least bit. In Ángeles Caídosse, Mina had to fend for herself and her younger brother without any handouts from local girls. This young wolf was hardly surviving on such rich city streets. He was simply living among humans as a stray dog who lazed about and was fed snacks.
And dangerous? Normal humans being dangerous? Now that was a funny thought. Regular humans posed no threats with their bare hands, well, except all of their pollution which was destroying the world. Dirty humans. However, they were not too dangerous. Most owned no weapons, and those who did usually owned guns just for show. Hunters and nobles, now those were the dangerous creatures. There were hunters and nobles about the city, but that little girl with goodies in her goody bag posed no threat to the male wolf.
“Your way of living is not surviving,” Mina told the other wolf. “You live on the streets, yes, but we are wolves. We are meant to live outside. Living here, however, you can get your meals without hunting. Humans set out all their food for everyone to behold, and animals are able to snag a quick dinner because of the strange behavior of these humans. You should feel lucky.”
Mina leaned against the back of the bench, letting her hair fall with grace down behind the seat. The temperature felt just right, and the light that flooded over her body was comforting. She was enjoying the company regardless of his naïve thoughts and his curious behavior.
“Humans are not dangerous, though. At least not these humans. That little girl was no threat to you either. You are not really delving in dangerous activities like you make yourself seem to be.” Mina gave a laugh and a shake of her head.

Waya let out a low growl to this female. He didn't understand what could possibly so funny about the whole thing. He was smart! He was strong! He was courageous! Wasn't he? I mean he was managing to survive pretty well without her around anymore. Her being the woman that raised him. The one who he considered his mother. She knew his secret and loved him anyways. She thought he was all those qualities. To him that was more than enough to make to true and this...wolf had no right to say anything otherwise. But being taught to be a gentleman (or gentlewolf as the case may be) he collected his sulking self as much as possible and proceeded to converse with her.
"These humans pose a danger when they feel the to need be." he said hair falling in front of his face. He pushed away the hair, momentarily drawing attention to the big scar on his head. "And I didn't mean the little girl was a threat. I was protecting her from some. It was the least I could do in return for food, good behavior should be rewarded. I work for my meals in my own way. Given another environment, I would try to develop a new strategy to fit it."

“Humans should not be dangerous to a wolf,” Mina remarked. “We can kill them in one bite if we so desired. Now if there is a gun in a human’s hands, it may take a few more tactical bites to bring the beast down.”
Mina had lived long enough to realize the dangers in this world. She may not have been and elder wolf, but in her short lifespan she had witness many hardships and lived through them all. There were still many hardships to come, but that was what a wolf dealt with when going through his or her journey through life. Many obstacles lay in the way of all wolves who looked for Paradise.
“You still have much to learn of the world,” the female wolf told the younger male wolf as she sat up a bit more once again. “Outside these walls, the world is much dangerous. There are men and women who can see passed our disguises. They can see us for wolves and are more than willing to kill us where we stand. There are creatures willing to hunt us for our blood, for our bodies, and for their pleasures.”
The female wolf was not looking to scare the other, but give a friendly warning. She had to learn the hard way of how everything worked. There was no one to guide her, and many times she wished for someone to take her hand and lead her through life. But, Mina was an independent one. She enjoyed company but could not put her life in the hands of others.
A gentle smile. “You’ll learn. We all learn. We all leave these cities, too, and journey through the world in search of lunar flowers and Paradise.”
