[Adam Kohaku]

In truth, Adam was never too worried about anything especially the wolves. Killing wolves put money in his pocket and pleased Darcia; the latter however meant very little to the wolf hunter. It took money to survive in this world, and Adam did what he could to survive.

“I could use a challenge,” the Kohaku said as he drank back some more whiskey. “And if it is the in the end of the world, well, I have no regrets. We’ll just have to make sure our family dies together, putting up a fight to the very end.”

Adam smiled to himself as he took another drink. Kaine and Lina had become two very special parts of his world. If the end was coming, well, he would do whatever he could to make sure their little family stayed together. He would kill hundreds to thousands of wolves if he had to. Adam had finally found a good place in his life, and the wolves were trying to destroy the world. Go figure.

“I don’t know how you do it,” the hunter said to the other as he sat back in his chair a bit. He propped his feet up onto the seat next to him. His dark eyes observed Kaine with slight amusement. “I don’t know how you can sleep with every woman who opens her legs up to you. Even wolves, Kaine. You are an animal.”

Adam gave a laugh before drinking back more whiskey. He was glad that they had the bar to themselves. The rain could pour down outside; he had no care about what the weather did. They were inside, warm, and drinking their fills of whiskey.

He chuckled, ”I am just that good.” he spoke and leaned back. Unfortunately for him, there had been nothing behind him but an empty space, he fell back on his back, his legs spread over the counter top. ”If you say something, I will give you a buzz cut in your sleep.” he grumbled, his foot twitching.

Kaine was always like this, even in battle, but that ended up saving his life. He pulled himself up and he dusted off the dirt from him. The whiskey was fine, he took another swig, then turned on the sink before pouring water in it, to make it look full before setting it back down. He chuckled softly. Then stared to the door with a sigh. ”That’s only a small nick name in bed, and besides you know I only kill wolves on the hit list so what i do with the other ones are my business.” he spoke and stuck his tongue out to his brother

Before grabbing something under neath the table, a bag of cashews. He set them on the table and opened the bag grabbing hand fulls of it and shoving it in his mouth. He spoke, but Adam couldn’t under stand him do to the mouth full of cashews in his mouth. He grinned knowing that Adam couldn’t hear him. He swallowed the cashews.”...and that’s how you have sex with a wolf.”

He snickered to his brother before scratching his arm.

Adam gave out a loud laugh as Kaine fell back. He was still laughing even with his brother threatening to cut off his hair. He had seen Kaine trip and fall so many times, and yet it never got old. Talk about cheap comedy. His older brother was able to make even Adam roll around on the floor, holding his sides, and laughing hard enough to make him red in the face. Kaine was really the only person to cause Adam to act so childish. Adam often blamed his brother for bringing out the worst out of him.

“Spare me the details, please,” Adam said with a shake of his head. “I really don’t want to know how you get it on with wolves. That is a bit too much for me. They are animals, you know. You have been having sexual relations with wildlife. It would be like bedding a dog.”

The wolf hunter winced at the idea. He even drank down a bit more whiskey than he should have and found himself coughing. He really did not want to think of his brother on top of a wolf having… Too much for this rather reserved eighteen year old.

“I bet you haven’t done anything with a real paradise wolf, though,” he said with a slight laugh, thinking back to the wolf that got away. “You probably find your bed filled with wolves who have lost respect for themselves and have become but common dogs who serve humans. So, in short, you have only been with a bunch of self hating bitches. Good job, Kaine.”

Did it really bother Adam? Yes, yes it did. Adam did not even score with human girls, yet, Kaine scored with every type of female known to man. Was Adam jealous? Not as much as one would think. He cared for his older brother greatly, and he would not have jealousy ruin anything between them. He just gave Kaine a hard time about his choice in women every time he had the chance.

He chuckled at the disturb look his brother had gotten. ”If it counts for anything, they were always in their human form.” he chuckled softly and jumping over the counter he gave his brothers long hair a tug, before sitting down on the chair against, taking a bite out of another cashew, he wasn’t hungry, he just wasn’t much of a drinker, he was more of a wine person anyways.

He blinked and patted his brothers back as he choked on the whiskey. ”Man you are such a prune.” he muttered softly and sat up wrapping an arm around his brother and ruffling his brother’s hair. ”Life is too short to live on the side lines bro’” he spoke and pulled his brother’s hair band out of his hair snickering as he slipped it in his pocket

He jumped back so his brother couldn’t harm him, and he crossed his arms and sighed. ”Because in the end brother, the only thing that matters is what you do in your life, when your on the ground dying of old age or anything else. Life is meant to live, but money and greed kills.” he blinked and stared at the cashews, ”Man I am hungry.’ he muttered

The long haired Kohaku brother swatted at Kaine’s hand as he started to mess with him. An annoyed twitch tugged at the hunter’s eye as his hair seemed to fall everywhere. No one had any idea of how long it took for Adam to get his long hair just right. Kaine would know, oh yes, he definitely would.

“I don’t live life on the sidelines. I am well within everything that goeed his on, I just pick and choose what I do carefully,” Adam commented, taking another drink of whiskey. “And you know I can handle my alcohol. I just hate the thought of you going at it with a female wolf is all.”

The wolf hunter rotated his shoulders as he straightened up a bit. His dark, long hair fell over his shoulders. Adam tended to his hair carefully, and in this lighting the long locks seemed to shimmer. Kaine could tease him all he wanted to, but Adam knew his hair was sensationally beautiful. Maybe that was a big reason why people mistook him for a woman all the time. There was a price to beauty.

“When I am dying, at least I know on my list of what I have done with my life wolf fucking will not be on it.” There he went again, sprouting out ugly words. Adam blamed Kaine for this. “Damn, the only reason why I talk about sex is because of you. I haven’t even mentioned such a topic to a woman. All I do is talk about it to my dearest brother Kaine.”

The hunter looked away, shaking his head slightly. “If you are so hungry, we should just go get something to eat. I am sure there is some sort of restaurant open at this hour.”

He chuckled at his little brother. ”Everything needs love.” he chuckled softly. Besides,” he walked over putting the cashews away and flinging the hair band at his brother’s face, then pushing in the chair in as he rested his arms on the chair, then his chin on his arms, pushing his body out so it was in the way.

”If I feel dirty after words i’ll take a shower.” he chuckled, adding a little purr at the end of the sentence. Kaine shrugged his shoulders at his brother. ”Women are the creator of men, and the ones that have the power to end men. Hell slash that, not just men all creatures!” he said throwing his arms in the air, flailing them side to side. He then sighed stomping his feet. But after a few minutes he calmed down.

”What am I saying, your a cherry you don’t know what it’s like to have a woman’s touch.” he chuckled to his brother and then stood straight up, and patted his stomach. His rock hard abs hard against his hand. His stomach letting out a monstrosity of a growl. He grinned to his little brother and ruffled his brothers hair again.

”Sure, your buying though.”

He knew this good little store at the end of eighth avenue to buy some food at. It was open at all hours. It served from bar junk to caviar, he stood up and the rain seemed to stop as he opened the door. He looked back to his brother leaning on the door framing, as the street lights hit in. It was rather dark out, but it was almost midnight.

Adam dealt with the antics of his brother; what other choice did he have? They had a bond that nothing seemed able to break. Adam would deal with all the taunting Kaine could throw at him. He often was the one who was laughed at, but he was big enough to handle the jokes, no matter how old they got.

The long haired wolf hunter stood up from where he had been sitting at the bar. He fixed his hair back to normal after Kaine threw back his head band. He was surprised at the lack of virgin jokes Kaine was sending his way. Compared to his older brother, Adam was as pure as a five year old choir girl dressed in an unstained white dress. He may have bloodied his hands on many, but he had not taken a girl to bed to sleep with her.

The hunter finished off his whiskey and sat the battle down next to the cash register. He took out some money from his wallet and placed it beneath the empty bottle. He paid for his alcohol in full; he did have plenty of money to do so. Adam then made his way over to his outrageously hungry brother.

“I am not stingy with my money, so of course I will pay for your food. Wolf killing has allowed me plenty of extra money. Darcia sure loves that wolf’s blood I bring to him. I bet he’s a vampire.”

Adam rotated his shoulders and then his neck, letting out a few pops from the joints there. He wasn’t quite tired yet; on the contrary he was rather awake. He had gotten use to the late hours he kept. Some wolves simply dragged him everywhere at all hours of the night.

He glanced back at the dance area. “You will probably end up getting me drunk and try to stick me with a bimbo like the one you were after tonight. I would rather not soil my godlike body with such filth, Kaine. That is why I am so picky. I will only take the perfect woman to bed.”

Adam gave a laugh and a shake of his head. He could definitely not be as cocky and vain as his older brother.

”Please, I went to bed with the perfect woman last night. “ he laughed loudly, it echoing down the empty street, as he patted his brothers back. How Kaine saw it. Who ever he was interested in, would be perfect. Only the ugly ones weren’t perfect. He looked to his brother with that deviant gleam shining in his eyes.

Nah he learned from the last time he tried that. His brother had never brought it up, so he figured he had forgotten about it. He chuckled at his brothers words. ”I would never try that!” he spoke defensively, waving his hands in front of his face, as he leaned back on one leg. He sighed softly, it would take his brother to be drugged up and drunk for that plan to work. If only he knew that the night of the plan!

He blinked and looked to his brother innocently. ”Remember when that jerk took my hunting wolves? I don’t know what happened to them..but those three where amazing...beautiful in their human form too..sisters..” he murmured, then stomped his foot, unknowingly for him..he stomped it in a rain puddle, and his whole left side of his leg got drenched.

”Not fair!” he whined, as he walked out of the puddle, and squeezed the water out of his pant leg. It had already been raining hard, but it was noticeable that his pant leg was more wet then anything else on him. When it rained, he looked like a god under the water, his hair seemed like it should have always been wet. It was no longer how easily his brother got women, before they became wolf hunters his brother always attracted woman, and he was not afraid to show that off.

Kaine could be smooth around the ladies, but it seemed when he wasn’t trying to lure in a pretty face he became outright clumsy. Adam should have been counting the amount of times his older brother had fallen or done something outright klutzy. No matter how many times Kaine would taunt him; Adam would only laugh and simply forget all the times his brother found himself flat on his face.

The wolf hunter patted his brother upon his back, shaking his head slightly. “Your pants will dry. So wipe away your tears, and I will be sure to get you some sweets at the store.” Adam gave a smile and a laugh. At least he had grace. He may have still been a virgin, but he moved with precision and elegance.

“Hey, when I do get laid, you will be the first one I tell no matter what. It could be the worst experience of my life, but I will still tell you about it regardless of what happens. We are brothers after all. You deserve to hear all of my embarrassing moments, while I deserve to see you fall on your face all the time.”

Adam gave another laugh before pulling Kaine along. His pants would dry soon enough and if anything, the rain would start back up and drench the two of them. A little water on his pants would mean nothing.

“Just don’t try to get me hooked up with a wolf, please. I really don’t want to wake up with an animal at my side, pawing in her sleep. That I will strangle you for, Kaine. Hear me! Strangle!”

”I’m hurt Adam, you should know me well enough, that my pants are never dry” he chuckled to his brother elbowing him in the side, as he looked to the city. Even when it was most alive, all of it’s inhabitants where dead... inside that was. Most of them that is. It was the few that he actually thought were beautiful.

He blinked and then smiled to his brother. Even in the darkness his smile shined out against his dark skin tone. He smiled and really he already knew this. Lina, Adam and him where so close. But he really at first found Lina annoying, he made fun of her more then Adam though he would admit that. His smile beamed and he chuckled.

”You better tell me all about it. “ He spoke to his little brother and then ruffled his hair again, before hurrying up his pace towards the end of the street, there would be the store there.

He stopped at the store’s door way and turned to his brother before winking to the girls through the window, as he opened the door to it. It was just a normal restaurant, he took a step in the door and held it opened for his brother. If it had been anyone else he would have closed the door on the mans face and would flirt with the girls some more. A waitress came up. ”Welcome to Merlot’s bar and gril- Oh it’s you Kaine! I’ve missed you!” the blonde spoke and wrapped her arms around his neck.

He chuckled and patted her butt. ”Okay, Okay me and my brother want a table for two, preferably a booth near the window in the smoking section.” he spoke. Kaine didn’t smoke...but the girls he winked at through the window where. The waitress seemed to know this and she let out a ‘humpf’ as she led them to the table.

Adam could not help but to roll his eyes as they entered the restaurant and Kaine was greeted by a delighted waitress. Every girl in the world treated his older brother the same. He should have been used to the reactions, but he still was not. Kaine could have a woman groping at him and at the same time a few others would be making their way over. Was it charm? Some would say so, but Kaine was just that attractive, and he held such a strong presence whenever he walked into a room.

The long haired wolf hunter sat down at the table, stretching out his long legs beneath. He was glad not to have the hassle of women flocking over to him, yet some attention had to be found from the opposite sex. Lord knew how much unwanted attention he received from males. Adam had no problems with gays; he just had no interest in them. He was definitely attracted to women regardless of his pretty looks.

“Get me a couple of beers, please,” Adam said to the waitress. “Right away. I don’t even care what brand they are.” His dark blue eyes moved away from her and looked out the window.

He loved his brother to death, but sometimes Adam preferred to be wolf hunting than watching Kaine rope up every female in sight. How many times did Kaine go to sleep in an empty cold bed? Much, much fewer times than Adam for sure if not none. Don’t be jealous, Adam, your time will come.

“You know, I’m not even hungry. I think my stomach is just becoming full with alcohol,” Adam commented. “Perhaps tonight would be the best night for you to force me to take one of the sleezes home.”

He chuckled to his brother. Such foul language he had when he had been drunk. He stood up and chuckled to his brother. ”Sleeze bags? Oh such a name of a rose, but it would be much sweeter..fuck it I said it wrong.” he spoke chuckling. Yup it appeared that Kaine would make everyone roll in their beds, even shakspeare. Anyone could tell Kaine wasn’t a reader, and he would admit that he could read, just books were boring. Why he was trying to quote from a book, was rather sad.

He walked over to the girls that were smoking, and he placed one hand on their table. He looked to them, and as soon as he started talking they giggled at him. ”Oh, so it appears only beautiful people come here, because there would be no other reason why you two are here.” he chuckled to them, and they only snickered to him. ”So I was wondering, would you like to sit with me and my brother over there?” he pointed to his brother, the girls giggled, and the shorter hair one of the two finally spoke. ”I’m Nina, and this is my girlfriend Trish.”

It would appear, Kaine’s smile widened greatly, his grin touched both of his ears, and he leaned over to Nina. ”My offer still stands.” he whispered, she turned a shade of red no one could explain, and she nodded her head, as her and trish walked over to their table. He jumped over the table sitting next to his brother smirking, the waitress seemed anything but pleased.

She seemed to only pout, hoping Kaine would notice. But of course he didn’t...or he just ignored her. He leaned over to the girls. ”This is Ada-” ”He’s cute!” trish finally spoke, interrupting Kaine. Kaine paused.... he wasn’t going to tell Adam those two girls were possible bisexuals around him, but away from him full on lesbians...he’ll let his brother’s confidence get up....then he’d just push it back down when Adam tried to rub it in his face. He loved his brother, but come on. He was top(and sexy) dog here. That and he wasn’t just on top of sexy dogs either. He snickered to himself at his little joke in his mind.

God was he good, or was he good looking?

The long haired wolf hunter allowed his brother to go over and flirt to his heart’s desire with those girls. Why should Adam really care? The girls weren’t wolves, and his brother did nothing but flaunt himself around females. Shits and giggles, that’s all they were doing. There went the foul language again. It seemed Adam could not get away from it until his brother was off in his bed with a table full of girls.

Kaine came back over and following him came two girls. That’s all he needed; his brother would come back over and show off his abilities to lure in two girls. Adam simply could not get away from the arrogance of his brother. Time to drink down a few beers as fast as possible. And Adam began to drink the first of his beers at the restaurant.

An introduction and then a compliment. The hunter could not help but to glare over at his brother. Had Kaine told this girl to say such a thing? Adam had a feeling Kaine was behind some mischief. Probably wanted to boost him up before stealing these females away to his bed. Classic Kaine Kohaku.

“Well, thank you,” Adam responded. The quietness of his usual self seemed to be pushing back upon him. Yet, the alcohol tried to conquer once more. “I am sure you’re just being polite. You are probably really over here to hound after my brother. He puts on the moves as it would be. He tends to be the preferred cut of beef.”

The girl that had spoken only giggled, before leaning over the table. “No..I don’t prefer the arrogant ass holes...I prefer my beef...soft and sweet.” The woman named Trish giggled, as she ran her fingers over his hands. Kaine frowned, HEY! he thought. He wasn’t an ass holes..he was a douche bag...there was a difference. He thought as the waitress came to the table, then tripped, the alcohol getting all over the girls..but non of the boys were touched be the drinks.

Kaine stared to the waitress. Great. Way to ruin everything..he thought acidly to the waitress He blinked and looked to the girls as they rushed away out of the door, but Adam couldn’t help see Trish wink to him as her friend pulled her out of the bar. Kaine glared to the waitress. ”Oopsies.” she spoke her lower lip twitching, as she made a pouty face to him. Kaine grumbled. ”Some one isn’t having after work sex tonight..” he grumbled acidly.

The waitress blinked and fell to her knees whining.”Bu-BUT Kaine!” she whined. ”Go away.” his tone was cruel, but she left any ways. Sniffling. Adam would have never seen his older brother react to a girl in that manner. ”Oh yeah those were lesbians.” he spoke to his brother... clearly a grin forming on his face. His eyes glistening proudly.

He leaned back on the table and yawned to his brother, looked like some one was going home to a lonely bed tonight. Kaine didn’t really mind, alcohol helped his brother out from what he did, Women helped him out. He put his feet on the table. ”So what did the wolf look like?” he questioned closing his eyes.

Could the night get any worse? For Adam, that was. Kaine enjoyed himself regardless. How many times did Adam have girls flirting with him? Not many. How many times did Kaine have girls flirting with him? All the time! So what happens? The damn jealous waitress spills his beers all over the girl who was flirting with him, and the girls take off. And then, of course, Kaine informed his brother in on the girls being lesbians. Oh, if the bonds of brotherly love did not bind them, Adam would have choked Kaine.

What did the wolf like? Adam could picture her completely in his head. Memories of black fur and fangs instantly came to him. She had been a mean one, full of life and fully of anger. She had wanted him dead, and Adam had wanted the same. But just because the hunter could remember every detail didn’t mean he was going to tell his brother a damn thing.

“She looked like a goddamn wolf,” Adam said before throwing the rest of his beer onto his brother. “If you want to find her and fuck her like all of the other women you come across, go ahead. Maybe she will tell you all about paradise as you two lay in bed together; you with your fingers running through her hair and her cuddled up on your bare chest.”

The long haired wolf hunter sat back against his seat and let out a huff of air. Well, at least he felt a bit better after that. He needed to lay of the alcohol for the rest of the night, though. Too much would do some damage in the morning. He was already not waking up next to anyone; why make that ten times worse with a massive hangover?

“I am tired of all of this. I see you, and we instantly get into a battle with a bunch of thick headed morons. I need a massage and a good long sleep.”
