Cause You’ll never know
The night had attacked the city and it seemed to just suffocate anything that had once been caressed by the light. Yet despite the sudden darkness, there had been twice as many people as their was out side in the night then in the morning. It had been so crowded that in the more narrow of roads in the towns, you would have to shove the people out of the way. But most didn’t seem to notice, or even care.
From The Top Of The World
There seemed to be more guard out at this time of night, dark eyes almost as dark as the nights sky flicked back and forth before the crowd. Annoyance clearly in her gaze. The beholder was a short girl, and she was ridiculously beautiful. She looked as if she had been a gothic doll. Her skin was the color of paper, but it must have been as soft as silk. She had been in layers of clothing, even though it would appear as if she would never get cold.
She seemed to pause, as the highest part of the city had been the farthest from the city. The dark eyes seemed to slowly slip up into the sky, a floating castle seemed to decorate the sky. Because thats where all the monsters were. Thats where all the stars were. A shudder of disgust ran down her spine, and her fingers curled into her palm, creating a tight fist.
I Need To Let You Know
She hurriedly pushed past the disgusting humans. Her nose twitched; don’t get her wrong; she didn’t care for humans. She just hated nobles. They attacked the wolf kind for no reason..her eyes narrowed to the castle as she seemed to stop, and then she shoved people out of her way, as her feet hit the ground quicker, as she broke into a run. Shoving people away, she didn’t pant, as she ran up the hill. She was so close. The words of the flower maiden drifted in her head. “This one is not the one you seek.”
She lowered her clasped hands to her side and her glowing gradually seized. This one stepped out of the water and gracefully made her way to the majestic black wolf. She stopped in front of the wolf, her lovely face expressed in a warm smile.
“It’s okay… Sythe.”
The woman continued to run, her eyes closed. She stopped and opened her eyes. Two Hunters had been standing in her path way. She paused, and took a step back. Her eyes narrowed, as the one spoke. “Unauthorized personal; turn back. Live ammunition will be used.” he spoke, she growled. Before turning her back to them, they seemed to slowly put down their weapons, in an instant she was on them, they couldn't say a word. She had pushed one so hard on the ground, he blacked out, the other seemed to struggle. She stood over them, and four punches. No, her teeth went straight into their neck. Four bites. That Your Biggest Fear Is Letting Go
She stopped at the top of the highest building, her eyes seem to water. Her body shuddered, as she had been directly below the floating home. She tilted back her head, her lips stained in red. Blood. Human blood. She tilted her head towards the home, and a mournful sound escaped her lips. It would echo through the empty outskirts of the city, and invade the crowded city. It was a howl. Heard for miles away.
I’m Still Singing Woe

The smell of a wolf. That was attracted the silver wolf through the streets. Scents that could only be picked up by an expert nose. The eyes could easily be tricked; the ears could pick up confusing sounds. But the nose, that was what guided the animal. That and sheer instinct.
The aroma of blood filled the air. Enough blood to attract and repel other animals of the city. This was more blood than a simple flesh wound. No, this was a kill. A beast had taken down a human, and Mina’s nose twitched with curiosity and her paws raced forward with a certain urgency.
The silver wolf rushed through the streets in a blur. Perhaps if the humans would take a second glance, they would have seen the silky fur and would have seen the animal amongst them. But no one paid Mina no mind. She was a tall, beauty that moved silently through the masses. Her nose was guiding her forward. To the wolf she went. To the human who had met his demise.
A howl pierced the night and before the howling wolf stood the wolf with the silvery fur. Mina had met this wolf before. A wolf who had laid eyes upon the flower maiden, and who had been disappointed. Each flower maiden picked her own wolf, and likewise each wolf picked her own flower maiden. Before Mina stood an upset wolf. Was she still looking for her flower maiden? Mina hoped so.
“Quiet your voice,” Mina said instantly, her soft voice holding authority. “You will attract all of the hunters of the area, and I am in no mood to deal with fighting and death which will consume the area. If you want your flower maiden, then look for her. Do not mourn for your emptiness. Fill it.”

Padding leisurely alongside his fellow companion, tan furred brute allowed his golden gaze to scan their surroundings. His paw steps were nearly silent, but held the hint of a young, almost childish patter. The way the world's train of thought seemed to vary from his, its darkness fighting against his brightness. His hopeful, optimistic mind. Despite being sixteen years, fairly grown, his personality was that of a young boy. But he never grew to mind.
Abruptly, his serenity was disrupted, causing his cranium to snap 'round, facing forward and watching as the silver female seemed to tense up. He wondered what had caught her attention - and just before she took off, he realized that there was a scent bothering his scent glands. The smell of blood. And not a simple wound. It was too powerful.
Quickly, Tanjun broke into a dash, catching up to Mina. With his disguise on, it was easy to presume he was a normal teenage boy, chasing after a lover. Or his bigger sister. There was nothing too suspicious about two people running - especially not in this time of night, where the crowd was thick and many were rushed. People minded their own business in this time; his light smile signaled how he appreciated that in the humans.
They ascended the landscape, the masculine quickly averting his sights away from the fallen corpses. Swallowing hardly, he landed just behind his traveling friend. Just as the howl broke loose from her jowls.
Immediately, before he even noticed the scent, he recognized the call. A toothy grin played at his lips then, and he barely managed to resist the urge to howl alongside her. His lobes flicked at Mina's scolding, his tail flicking in a light wag. Honestly, he was next to oblivious to the meaning of her words.
"Sythe!" he called out, his tongue lolling out the side of his maw as he leaped over to her, almost barreling fully into her as he nuzzled her. His tail began to wag a tad now, but it slowed down as he took a few steps back. "I knew we'd see each other again!"
His grin never ceased. [/blockquote]

She kept her head back, and the girls eyes opened wide. The chorus of howls seemed to echo through the area. First one, a long one. Then silence, and another one followed after it. A chorus of howls echoed through the area, and any hunter with the smallest of information of wolves would know. Would be able to hear it. She turned slowly, and the woman from before came. Her eyes narrowed, as familiar scents of the flower maiden came to her nose.
Where was she? Why was she not with the wolf. She growled. ”Good, let them come. It’s only a matter of time..” she spoke harshly,”Better dead then alone.” she growled, and in an instant, the black wolf was standing there, tail up, fur perched back, her blue eyes narrowed at the silver wolf. Who did she think she was?! Commanding her? She pushed out her chest, and from her side, she saw a wolf clumsily coming at her.
She bared her teeth, before she had realized who this had been, she stopped herself from ripping his throat out. She paused, his childish attitude, her tail couldn’t help to sway slightly. She took a step back. ” I can’t have you wolves around me, especially since you all decided to answer my call.” she spoke, backing away, to the edge of the hill, her tail swaying slowly.
”So I suggest... you leave now.” she spoke, through the darkness, it appeared if she would have been a normal black wolf. Without blue eyes and blue symbols on her forehead, she would have nearly blended into the dark. It was slightly eery, how her eyes and markings shined brightly into the darkness. She stared to both of them, before snorting back her pride.

A sigh and then a laugh. This wolf had lost her mind. She wanted her flower maiden, yet, she would rather fight off all the hunters in the area and perhaps even die. She surely could not look for the maiden six feet under.
“Dead wolves are useless, Sythe,” Mina called out. “Your flower maiden still calls out to you. She wants you to find her. You can’t very well find her if you are dead, realize this. Only the wolves that are alive can open Paradise.”
What had she gotten herself into? Mina had the desire to help all of her kind, and she did not understand why. She had such compassion for all of the other beasts. She was not a completely lone wolf. Perhaps, her pack instincts wanted her to help all of the wolves she could. Though, some wolves were just helpless.
Mina watched Tanjun’s reaction to Sythe. How could she just turn her back to such a sight? The black wolf may have been willing to commit suicide, but Mina felt compelled to stop any on coming slaughter. She also had a feeling that the young male wolf would not want to simply turn his back on Sythe.
“We cannot just leave you, now. You are willing to put yourself in a line of fire, but we are willing to fight at your side like a pack would. We are wolves, are we not? Call out to your hunters again. They will not stop me from getting to Paradise. No one will.”

It took the male a moment for the situation to sink in, for his mind to piece together the horrors that could await them beyond the hills. Or even the danger preparing to approach; a howling chorus like that was doomed to be quieted as quickly as possible. His lobes flicked toward his skull, almost lowering - but he reassured himself. These two females could take care of themselves; it was only him who had issues with fending off hunters. He'd only be a burden - but over the years, he was experienced with quick, efficient escapes. They wouldn't lose their lives here. Not tonight.
But Tanjun frowned as Sythe shooed him away, warning them to leave. His ears lowered toward his cranium for a moment, his head lowering, but then he perked up again. "I just found you again; I can't leave you so quickly! Besides - I don't wanna leave,"
he stated simply, a childish pout entering his tone here and there. And then he turned, averting his gaze to the silver wolf, who now spoke. At times, he would feel as if he didn't belong with these two wolves. That they were too dark and serious to be anywhere near companions to him. But they were the only ones who hadn't turned their backs on him yet; even though Sythe advised them to leave, she hadn't attacked him, chased him away. She still accepted his presence, and he knew she was the loner type. Once Mina finished, he took a few steps toward the middle of them, almost leaving the ebony wolf's side - but not quite. "But guys - we don't need to prove that. Let's leave the hunters alone; we have places to go for Paradise." Honestly, despite figuring that they'd do beyond well together, joined forces, in battle, he didn't want either of them to get hurt. It wasn't their time yet, and they had far too much left to run freely for. And then an idea clicked. "We should form a pack to Paradise." It came as a murmur, but it came clear. And in the moment he realized what he had suggested, he took a couple of steps back, lowering his head. What if that was a bad idea in their eyes? He almost shrunk away - but he knew he wanted to know their answer. Even if it was out of the blue. [/blockquote] [ rushed. faaail. >w>; ]

The Black she wolf, tilted her head to him, before taking another step back. Her paws at the edge of the hill, her eyes narrowed to them both. ”That is out of the question.” she said that strictly. If they knew; they would leave her be, she sat down, her tail hanging off of the hill. She stared to them, with cold blue eyes that would send chills up their spines.
She would tell them. ” You should go to your flower maiden wolf. “ She stood up, and looked to the floating castle. ”Darcia has commanded a hunt for me, he wants me alive.” she spoke, before slowly standing up, swaying slightly as she did this. ” And a hunter from Oakums side... is after me also. “ she spoke, before shaking her fur off as if it was nothing.
Her ear lobes flicked back, and she stood there. Her human form standing tall, to them. A wind blowing causing her hair to flow back behind her. She walked forward, smears of blood on the sides of her lips, that could not be seen through the darkness of her fur. She closed her eyes, as she leaped over the other wolves, landing on the ground in a crouching position. ”I am...just looking out for you guys...because... if i don’t make it to paradise... I know..... a wolf did.” she spoke... hesitantly, her eyes narrowing to the ground, as her voice came in a soft hushed tone.

Some wolves were just mysteries. Mysteries that did not necessarily need to be solve, but mysteries that kept one on her toes. Sythe was one of these mysteries. Granted, Mina did not know this black wolf as well as others, but there was so much deep within her history. She had to be important if both Lord Darcia and Lord Oakum was after her.
How other wolves worked was always a foreign concept to Mina. Often she had been referred to as some sort of loner, but this was not out of want but more so out of necessity. Sythe was a loner, and now she took on the task of surviving against the most well-known nobles and their hunters. Mina felt a sadness for the black wolf, but she saw a sort of opportunity as well.
If nobles wanted to distract themselves with one wolf, so be it. Other wolves had the chance to grab Paradise. The reality was harsh and unforgiving, but so true that Mina could not deny such an opportunity. Mina hoped that for now hunters would be too preoccupied to really give a second glance to her and her flower maiden.
“Sythe, you are a great wolf. Do not allow these nobles to capture you. Fight them off to the very end. You deserve Paradise more than any other wolf I have met, especially if you are willing to deal with Darcia’s and Oakum’s hunters on your own. You are very brave or stubborn.”
The silver wolf paused as she bit her lip. She did not want to just allow the black wolf to deal with these hunters alone, but what choice did she have? She had her flower maiden to protect. Sythe would have to take care of herself.
Her dark eyes fixed on Tanjun. “Tanjun, we should listen to her, but you do as you wish. Maybe one day we will have a pack, but I believe it will be when we are all in Paradise. Right now, we have flower maidens to protect. Sythe has her own battles and her own maiden to chase down. There is not much I can do if this is what Sythe wishes, Tanjun.”
Mina stepped over to the younger wolf and ran her hand through his hair. She could not help but smile as the memory of her brother came to mind. Tanjun would do as he wished. He had his own journey to create.

His lobes flickered downward at her reply, the urge to cast his gaze away returning. But instead he kept his golden moonstones level, almost a defiant yet innocent atmosphere about them. "Maybe. But we've all done things as out of the question as that - haven't we?"
It was life. It gave one tests to teach one a lesson; and he had gone through quite a few. It all made them who they were today. Despite the coldness in Sythe's tone, Tanjun couldn't help but feel much more determined. With each warning she gave him, with each grim claim she voiced, he felt the impulse to remain with her. To defy her and show her that, with enough faith and commitment, even she could make it to Paradise, no matter what. The way she shook it off - it scared him. It showed that she was determined to be as independent as possible, and it meant that recklessness would become her master. That guaranteed a violent death. One he didn't want her to go anywhere near. Frowning lightly, almost pouting, he stepped in between them, ignoring what both wolves said now. "I don't care who's after you. I care about you - so I'm not leaving you." Not like I left my brother. The thought made him sink his canines into his lips, his head almost drooping now. He had been too afraid, too weak, to help his brother; all he could do was watch him die. But that was a different story now. Lifting his cranium up again, as if he was not fazed, he glanced at both of them steadily. Childish as he was, this was amongst the times in which he showed how he matured. As Mina ran a hand through his hair, he slightly closed his eyes, holding her hand softly for a moment, glancing into her eyes and taking a step back. Again, he viewed them both. "I'm staying with Sythe. And I'm not going to change my mind." His voice was shaky but true. He gave a light smile, releasing her hand. "We'll meet again; you have a flower maiden to keep you company," he glanced over to the black huntress, "I wanna be Sythe's company, until she finds hers." [/blockquote]

She let out a soft sigh. Before taking step back from him. Such a confused little child. She shook her head, although in the darkness they wouldn’t be able to detect the movement. She crossed her arms, before standing up straight. She let out a soft sigh, before walking to Mina, and past Tanjun. She moved up her hand, and rested it on the girls shoulders. ”Be safe.” was all she said, before turning her back to the she wolf. ”I expect to see you in paradise Mina...in the end.” she spoke.
She felt as if she had been lifted. Maybe it was because she hadn’t been alone, either way it didn’t show. Her eyes were still that roughness..but maybe if one looked deep with in her eyes they would find, a pup trying to make it’s way out. She looked to him. ”We should leave now, that i managed to attract wolves, we should leave this spot..before the guards come. She spoke, before walking to Tanjun. ”I promise you, we’ll make it to where we belong. Paradise.” she spoke, before looking to Mina once more, and looked up to the castle.
She’d get her revenge another time, a time when no one else’s life would be at risk. she looked too Tanjun, and then Mina. When only her life would be at risk... that was not a threat, that had been a promise. To herself, to her fallen family.
