Midday on a work day never felt so dull. What could be expected on such a day? The sun was shining brightly outside. Birds were chirping, and children were running around and playing. Workers felt themselves slacking off as the warm weather tried to lull them into sleep. The day was just a normal slow summer’s day.
Business was always good in the Emerald Mining City, but sometimes customers took their time in the middle of the day. If the weather was nice, most people went from window to window and back again before even going into stores to browse about and make a purchase. Why rush? The weather was perfect. The temperature was not too hot nor too cold. A beautiful smell of blooming flowers drifted upon the air. Time to take life slow and enjoy each second of the day.
The machine shop even saw very few customers during midday. Peri’s Mechs had a nice little spot in the city. The shop was not directly in busy downtown nor was it on the outskirts. The machine shop was in good reach of everything, and hundreds of people passed by the booming business every day. There was something for everyone in the store. Everyone used some sort of machine from refrigerators to blenders to automobiles to airships. A variety of people found themselves in Peri’s Mechs at some point either wanting to sell an old machine to buy a new one or to simply get a repair.
The owner, Peri Hetiea, sat at the front counter. He greeted all of his customers on most days. A few days out of the week he did have someone manning the front counter, but on this day, since the day was moving slow, he sat there waiting. And waiting… And waiting some more…
An impatient sigh floating out from soft pale pink lips. Elbow upon the counter helping to connect a gently curled fist to his right pale cheek. Bright pink eyes looking over to fresh teal nail polish on every left fingernail. A soft humming came from Peri as another song started up in his ears from the white ear buds he had in his ears. Pale blue hair fell over his forehead and hid the music players in his ears.
The stool he sat upon creaked as he sat up a bit, letting out another deep sigh. Peri enjoyed entertainment. Where were his customers? Where was his entertainment? He had caught up on all his repairs, which was not a difficult task for him. He had read up on all the new appliances that were coming out. Peri had even polished his snug black boots he wore upon his feet today. Now, there was absolutely nothing to do but wait for someone to enter his shop.
Peri smoothed out tight, form fitting pale pink shirt. He wore tight pale blue jeans that had a few holes ripped in them. One of his fingers moved up and wrapped around the metal chain he wore around his neck.
Sigh. Midday needed to pass by and quick.

He entered the junk yard , his form imposing as he started to walk over to the counter were he saw the thing that was sitting there half asleep. God how he hated the populous .. But he needed that weapon, no one else was going to handle the job , so he had to do it. Placing his hands on the table he started to twiddle his fingers wondering when the thing would notice him there. He would need this new tecnology to actually capture and control the flower beast.
Kaine and his thing would never capture it for him, they might warn her of his comming after her. He would have to ask this things, to actually help . If it wanted money , he would pay with grand richaes. Yet his hair and his clothes, seemed to show a style he found rather wonderful. It was strange and amusing to see such a display, the colors and the combination of clothes plus jewels well it was a very humble site and very welcoming.
Though he was wondering , how in the world did this man ever get anything done , he must be quite talented to actually work. Slipping a hand on his chest jacet, he took out a pouch and some papers as he left them on the table. Sitting down on one of the spare chairs , he hummed a soft tune wondering how much longer did he have to wait for the roach to get working , and start making his weapon.
But he would wait as long as he liked, just so long as this little roach did his bidding and sattisfied him. If his work was not , what he wanted, what he would need to control that thing. Well he would have to take measures, kill or be killed that was his law. But he was so beautiful, ah such a shame to waste such youth. He came first though, always and forever then again there was always the exception for beauty.

Had there been movement at the front door? Peri was not sure; his attention was on the music playing in his ears. His humming still floated up from his throat and out through his mouth as he thoroughly enjoyed the sounds flooding into his ears. On such a slow day, he deserved the beautiful melodies that were there to entertain him.
Papers upon the table and the distinct sound of a creaking chair. Oh yes, someone was here. A customer; how delightful.
The shop owner looked up as his slender fingers reached up and took out his ear buds. Pink eyes fell upon the stranger, no… Peri knew this customer. He had seen his face before. This one was a noble. One who held a true presence within the room. Oh, but what was his name? How could Peri forget?
The ear buds were slipped into one of Peri’s pockets as his fingers turned off the small device that held all of his music. He rolled his neck slightly as his eyes moved back down to the papers that had been set upon the table. Now, maybe this would be interesting. Truly, anything that wasn’t a toaster could be pretty interesting. And since this noble held no toaster…
“What can I do for you?” Peri asked as his eyes surveyed his customer. Oh what was his name? This noble’s face was so distinct. There was such intensity behind those eyes of his. His gaze held such weight, such strength. Truly, this one was a perfect specimen of male beauty. Oh, what was his name?
A sweet smile spread over the shopkeeper’s lips as he stood up. And then the name popped into his head. This was Lord Darcia.

He clicked his tongue and sighed. God he was mostly, if not always tired of making himself being waited on. He was a man of most things, a fetish for blood was one , the other his obesssesion with moon flowers, and the third was his obssesion with those wolves. There were no other pleasures, yet he was always thinking that he needed them.
A woman , or man in his bed wuld suffice. But now he wanted blood in his mouth. Making a seriouss face when he heard the music blazing. He sighed, and shifted his head. He felt something in his heart pang, and his throat close. Such pink eyes must have only been a gift from heaven, a blessing. Such pale skin almost like a pearl lovely and exciting. If she was only a woman , she would have courters line her shop.
But he had to stop thinking, he wa shere on buisness not to think. " A pleasure to meet you master? "he said coldy, and shifted his serious gaze towards the boy and wondered if he would be able to make at least a little understanding. He wanted this man or child or boy to understand one thing, you never kept Darcia waiting. He might have heard tales before on how his ancestral family was more noble to the people, he was not.
A good whipping and , back lash was what the people needed. They were lazy, and also a horrible bunch to hang around with. They even stank. Ah but these were his people, and this was not his land so he was not going to complain, but reather be patient. Smiling he streached out his hands un top of the table and set down the plans he was carrying for his wolf machine.

Out of his own curiosity, Peri instantly leaned against the counter at the papers the noble had spread out. Nobles were the ones to bring in the most interesting of ideas. They always wanted some machine full of neat gizmos and a high tech guns. Definitely creations that blew toasters out of the water figuratively and literally. The shopkeeper was hoping for an interesting creation from Lord Darcia.
Peri did not know too much about Lord Darcia or the Darcia family in general. He was more aware of Lord Oakum, but of course, no one knew too much about the nobles. Their interests were beyond understanding. They were always concerned with flower maidens and wolves. The mechanic had no interests in wolves and definitely not interests in maidens.
“Oh, now this looks interesting,” Peri said aloud as he looked at the blue prints. “Something to kill off nasty beasts, I assume. Some guns perhaps? Oh, maybe some sensory equipment? I have been working on a few gadgets that are more accurate than old sensor machines. If you would be interested in seeing, I could always show you our private collection, my Lord Darcia.”
Always quick to please with a polite smile. Peri was one to get right down to business especially with high class hunters and nobles. Usually, those were the types to not want to waste their time on small talk. Cutting to the chase was more like it.

Darcia slid his hand on his cheek. A sense of calm came over him as he looked again. His smile never leaving him, "You better make it up to me.. if you know my name ? ."
He told the boy and asked. Also stayed still even though he wanted to strangle him. But then hearing him say something to kill a beast. he chuckled and stood. "Do you know of Paradise wolves.. " he asked and sat down next to the man.
His hand gently grabbing the mans hands as he studied the painted nails. If he could he would break the boys fingers for such insolence. But anyways, this was not his place to be. After all he was a noble, a man who should forgive and forget very easily.
"Sensory, grappling, anything that would make a Paradise wolf sit in its place. " He told the boy and brushed a few strand of his hair. "If you are not going to comply ill break every bone, on your tiny body" he said , half amused, and half serious.
But he knew that the constructors work was the best, guess that was why he came here.

There was a sense of danger behind all of this, and Peri could not help but to shiver with excitement. He couldn’t help himself. Having the noble so close was, in a lot of ways, mind numbing. The mechanic was unsure of how to react, but he enjoyed the odd but comforting touches that came from Lord Darcia’s fingers.
Peri’s pink tinted eyes moved upward to look into the noble’s brown eyes. There was something so enchanting about his gaze, yet behind Darcia’s eyes, Peri could sense the predator lurking there. The shop owner had to keep his wits about him and keep a level head. The noble was powerful and seemed to be unforgiving.
“I have heard about the Paradise wolves, my lord,” Peri responded, his eyes watching every movement of the other. Who hadn’t heard of the legends of Paradise? The legends of the wolves? Peri knew from personal experience how real these things were. He had seen Oakum’s research of the flower maidens. How well he truly knew of such things as Paradise, wolves, and flower maidens.
“Truly, those who have not heard of the wolves are those who are just lost in the world. I have known of the wolves and the maidens since I was a little one.”
Peri listened intently at Darcia’s last comments. A threat and from his reputation Darcia would hold true to such words. No worries, though. Peri worked as a creator of destructive vehicles. His business was sometimes shady, and he had no reason to simply not comply. The noble wanted a weapon, so he would get what he asked for. Peri was quite the businessman.
A laugh slipped through his lips. “I have no reason to not listen to you, my dear Darcia. What you ask for is what you will receive. If you wanted a machine that chased after wolves, captured them, and then dressed them in clothes, I would be sure to make your machine with designer clothing. Though, dressing the dirty little beasties up would just be a waste of fashion, but I hope you understand what I mean. You deserve the best, and you have come to the best.”
The weapon builder was starting to feel rather comfortable once more. His fingertips gently brushed over Darcia’s hand as his pink eyes watched the noble’s reactions and movements. Well, maybe they could have business relations.
